Koorburra House is looking for dedicated & professional Lifestyle Support Workers/Youth Workers to join our team.

We specialize in providing 24 hour supported independent living, emergency respite care and community access support and aim to provide a warm, friendly home environment for our clients where they can learn the skills needed to live independently and to live a full rewarding life.

As a Lifestyle Support Worker/Youth Worker, You will Help a client with personal care needs i.e. feeding, showering, getting dressed.

  • Accompany clients on outings
  • Help our clients to learn new skills and socialize in their local community
  • Assist with medication administration
  • Assist in the preparation of meals
  • Provide a safe environment and quality care & support for vulnerable young people and children in various types of care

To be successful you will need the following:

  • Completed Certificate IV in Individual Support (Disability/Aged Care/Home & Community Care/Youth Work) or higher
  • Current Blue & Yellow Card
  • Current Driver’s License with own reliable vehicle (minimum third party property damage insurance)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • A high level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with clients with challenging behaviours – complex care
  • Current Medication Competency (highly desirable)
  • Confidence and professionalism in your ability to provide client-focused support
  • Strong professional boundaries and the ability to follow procedures
  • Ability to be flexible within your work environment and to work as part of a team
  • Have access to your own portable smart device e.g. phone

  • High level of availability with both day & night shifts
